Paul Connelly February 28, 1953 - July 4, 2009

Paul A. Connelly of 219 Oak Street died Saturday (July 4, 2009) at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born February 28, 1953, in Olean, he was a son of Francis P. and Ann Cullather Connelly. On November 3, 1984, he married Darlene L Testrake, who survives.
Mr. Connelly was a 1972 graduate of Olean High School and worked for Dexter Hysol for about five years.
He began working for the Olean Fire Department as a firefighter in February 1978 and had been there for 31 years. He will be remembered as a good husband and father and a proud fireman.
Mr. Connelly was a lifelong member of St. John's Church, a member of the Elks Lodge and Olean Professional Firefighters Association Local 1796 and a charter member of the Olean Pulaski Club.
Surviving besides his wife of almost 25 years are two sons, Mark A. Connelly, and Daniel P. Connelly, both of Olean; two grandchildren; two brothers, Francis M. (Linda) Connelly of Olean and James N. (Dianna) Connelly of Allegany; four sisters, Elizabeth A. Connelly of Olean, Anne M. (Thomas) Angora of Rochester, Maureen A (Edwin) Negron and Kathleen T. Connelly, both of Olean; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is predeceased by two brothers, Patrick J. Connelly, on October 2, 2004 and Joseph J. Connelly, on December 24, 1992.
